Inspired by every student whose told they can’t be an artist because it doesn’t “make enough money”.
People from middle and upper middle class can say these things and get away. People who don’t know what starting capital is can say these things. People who literally don’t know what its like to have nothing or to live in poverty can say these things.
You can’t follow your dreams without some start up cash from somewhere. And most people don’t have that. Like if money was no object and people could just ~live their dreams~ then why are there children starving in 1st world nations
It’s the social economic version of “just stop being depressed”
oh my god at the classism here
I love guitar, betetr quit my job and devote all my money to beign a musician, ignorign for the fact that i won’t be able to afford rent or food right? NOTHING GETS IN THE WAY OF UR PASSION
I was mad till I read the comments. You can do things you love, but it won’t always make you money. That’s truth. That’s why you find balance in life.. The thing that so few talk about. Love music? Work 9-5 to pay your bills and support your family, and play music on weekends. You can be an artist without getting paid. Follow your dreams, but make sure you stay grounded in reality. It cost a lot to just live. I feel like today’s youth don’t understand that. Even working a minimum wage job, you only make $1,280 per month. ($8 x 40 hr). That barely covers rent, let alone utilities, food, gas, and emergency money.
